Began as a 1935 BMW 315 and was converted to a racecar after the war in 1949. Originally It was outfitted with a bare magnesium body and ultimately it raced in Formula 2 in 1951 and 52. Most races were in the U K but it also raced in the French and Belgian Grand Prix in 1952. It was found in the late 80s and rebodied in aluminum while retaining the same frame and engine. Came to the U S in 2013 and raced multiple times at Monterey Historics.
