1962 Ferrari 250 GTE
Class: The Prancing Horses
Owner: John and Shanna Kenney
Hometown: Duncan, SC
This GTE was the 23rd produced in the GTE series and was imported to Belgium by Jacques Swaters, serving as Ferrari’s Brussels show stand car and featured in the 1961 Ferrari yearbook. Its first owner was George “JoJo” Berger, the only three-time winner of the Tour de France automobile race. Purchased in 1964 at Garage Francorchamps as a family car, it has remained with the family ever since, making it the longest known ownership of any GTE. Featured in David Wheeler’s authoritative GTE book, the car has been lovingly maintained, with only two repaints and a recently rebuilt engine, preserving its history and pedigree.
