The Heritage Invitational’s Saturday concours isn’t just a display — it’s a love letter to the automobile. For racing enthusiasts and collectors alike, this is a rare opportunity to experience more than 115 of the world’s most coveted machines — up close and in motionless perfection.
The big picture:
Set for April 11 at Ten Tenths Motor Club, the concours spans more than a century of automotive artistry and innovation — with a special nod to the racing heritage of nearby Charlotte Motor Speedway.
This year’s lineup leans into competition-bred excellence — from endurance legends to homologation heroes.
What you’ll see:
- 1987 Porsche 962
A true Le Mans warrior. This one-of-one 962 finished fourth overall at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1987 and eighth in 1988 before retiring to the renowned Kremer collection. Still wearing its iconic Leyton House livery, it stands as the only road-registered Porsche 962 in the United States — a rare blend of race pedigree and road-going audacity. - 1981 Lamborghini Countach P400S
Built for Jean Claude Mimran, this wedge-shaped icon isn’t just poster-car famous — it served as the official Monaco Grand Prix Safety Car in 1981 and 1982. Equal parts excess and elegance, it represents Lamborghini at its most daring. - 1990 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R (“Godzilla”)
Part of this year’s Japanese Domestic Market class, this machine was a technological game-changer. Nicknamed “Godzilla” for its dominance, the JDM R32 GT-R rewrote the rules of touring car racing. This example — a heavily modified time attack machine — has also served as an R&D platform for aftermarket performance development, showcasing the platform’s enduring influence.
