The Heritage Invitational at Ten Tenths Motor Club will return April 9–11, with a dynamic display of vehicles paying tribute to the history, artistry and innovation of all things automotive. Among other attractions, the fourth annual event will include a race-themed RADwood festival, underscores the event’s commitment to celebrating the full spectrum of car culture—from timeless classics to the bold, colorful machines of the 1980s and 1990s.
“RADwood brings a fresh, fun energy to the Heritage Invitational,” said Ray Evernham, Executive Director of the Heritage Invitational. “By celebrating the unforgettable cars and culture of the ’80s and ’90s, we’re able to reach new audiences while continuing to honor the passion, history and community that define car culture at its best.”
What is RADwood?
Launched in 2017, RADwood has become an international phenomenon celebrating the vehicles and culture of the 1980s and 1990s. Known for its embrace of neon graphics, period dress and music videos on VHS, RADwood has redefined how enthusiasts engage with modern classics. For 2026, the Heritage Invitational version of RADwood will lean into motorsports heritage, curating a special display of stock cars and screen-used movie machines from the golden age of NASCAR and pop culture.
Race-Themed Highlights
The RADwood racing showcase will feature iconic vehicles that embody the excitement of the era:
- BGN Heroes: 1985 Tim Richmond Pontiac Ventura and 1987 Jimmy Hensley Buick Apollo (Martinsville race winner)
- The Alabama Gang: 1987 Bobby Allison Buick LeSabre, 1988 Neil Bonnett Pontiac and Davey Allison’s “FIDO” Ford (Richmond race winner)
- Dale Earnhardt Tribute: 1981 Pontiac and 1986 RCR Monte Carlo, honoring “The Intimidator”
- Hollywood Legends: The 1983 No. 7 Stroker Ace Ford Thunderbird and the 1992 No. 46 SuperFlo Chevrolet Lumina driven by Tom Cruise’s character Cole Trickle in Days of Thunder
- Fan Favorite: Darrell Waltrip’s No. 17 TIDE Chevrolet show car, a staple of 1980s NASCAR history
A World-Class Concours
In addition to RADwood, the Heritage Invitational concours will feature more than 100 of the world’s most significant collector cars, including pre-war icons, European exotics and American performance legends. Judged not only for design and rarity but also for their stories and provenance, the concours underscores the Invitational’s role as one of the most anticipated gatherings in the collector car calendar.
Cars Are Meant to Be Driven
True to the ethos of Ten Tenths Motor Club, the Heritage Invitational will also showcase automobiles in motion. On Friday, April 10, fans will experience the debut of IROC racing at Ten Tenths, reuniting iconic machines from the International Race of Champions series with motorsports legends like Mark Martin, Ken Schrader and Bobby Labonte, who are scheduled to take part. The day will also feature a charity Pro-Am driving event, pairing professional drivers with celebrity and enthusiast teammates in a spirited demonstration of why cars are meant to be driven—not just displayed—in a friendly competition to benefit the Charlotte chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities, as well as Vintage Indy exhibitions to rev up the nostalgia at America’s Home for Racing.
